Marjorie Ione Todd was born in Blanchard, MI, on August 6, 1927, the fourth child of Stanley and Wealthy Belle (Guy) Sawyer. She graduated from Blanchard High School in 1945 and later that year married Marshall Todd on November 11th in Remus. Ione was a longstanding member of the Barryton Church of Christ. She departed this life, at the age of 92, on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility in Mt. Pleasant.When Ione was able she loved to play the piano, sing and go to church. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Ione's strong will and love for her Lord will not be forgotten by the family that survives her. She is survived by: three daughters, Marsha Stewart-Sanders of Detroit, Diana Green and Deonna (Grant) Green both of Remus; one sister-in-law, Rose Pat (Grzybowski) Sawyer; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Ione was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Marshall Todd; her parents, Stanley and Wealthy; twin granddaughters, Marjorie and Deborah Green; four brothers, Lyle, Worthy, Max and Robert and three sisters, Donna Nelson, Rowena (Manning) Pointer and Peggy Williams. Memorial contributions in Iones name can be made to Gods Helping Hands in Remus. A private interment was held at Morgan West Wheatland Cemetery on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Ione's family will greet family and friends for a life celebration at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Wheatland Township Hall in Remus.
