Henry Cook, 62, of Stanwood, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 2, 2024. Born on September 19, 1961, in Grand Rapids, he was the beloved son of Melvin and Gloria (Kasper) Cook. On April 18, 1986, Henry married Theresa Covey, beginning a marriage filled with memories. A dedicated lineman by trade, Henry took great pride in his work. Beyond his profession, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was riding his golf cart, enjoying boat rides, or sharing cold beers around a bonfire with family and friends. Henry had a passion for family cookouts and treasured his time with loved ones. He also loved traveling, taking long walks, and spending quality time with his adored grandchildren. Henry is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Cook; his children, Felecia (Carl) Grein-Cook and Allie Cook (Alex McGowen); and his cherished grandchildren: Dylan, June, Izzy, Remington, and Ruegar. He is also survived by his mother, Gloria Cook; siblings, Linda Dontje, Melvin Cook, Glorene (Dave) Archambault, Paula (Alton) Price, and Dennis Cook; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Cook; grandchildren, Dustin Young Jr. and Dakoda Cook; and his in-laws, Walter and June Covey. Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, September 13, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
