Henry M. "Hank" Button Sr. age 91 of Big Rapids, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022. He was born February 20, 1930 in Haslett, MI the son of Henry M. and Cora (Zoss) Button. Hank was honorably discharged from the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He married the former Nancy Jo Mills on March 2, 1948 near Ashton where they made their home for many years until moving to Big Rapids over 30 years ago. Hank retired from Tubelite in Reed City. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Big Rapids and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. Hank is survived by his wife of over 73 years, Nancy J. Button of Big Rapids; 7 children; Henry (Michelle) Button Jr. of Deer Lake Estates, Jim (Jeannette) Button of Leroy, Janet Renne of Reed City, Janine (Richard) Carrick of Big Rapids, Jay (Carol) Button of Big Rapids, Joe (Lenore) Button of Luther, Jennifer (Tony Everett) Button of Hersey; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Julie K. Button, two brothers, Calvin and Lloyd Button; three sisters, Elizabeth Moore, Mildred Borton and an infant sister, Violet Roselyn Button. A Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Big Rapids with the family greeting friends one hour prior to the Mass. There will also be a visitation on Wednesday, February 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
