Helen Zinchook of Canadian Lakes, formerly of Rochester Hills, died Sunday, January 17 at the age of 86. Loving mother of Gwen (Andrew Hojnacki) Ahearn, Laura (Vern) Kors, and Dennis (Kitte Currier) Zinchook. Cherished grandmother of Shannon (deceased) and Laura Ahearn and Drusha and Zoe Zinchook. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter, her dear son, Douglas, brothers Michael and Alex Scherba, and parents, Frank and Florence Scherba. Helen was active in the Canadian Lakes Garden Club and had been a volunteer at the Morton Township Library, Meals on Wheels, local blood drives and Hospice. Memorial donations can be made to the Morton Township Library. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date in February.
