Helen B. Sharp, 96 of Mecosta, passed away at her daughters home on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

Helen was born December 10, 1922 in Grand Rapids.

On December 14, 1941 Helen married Arnold Sharp near Chippewa Lake with her father officiating. Together they raised their family on the farm in Stanwood. She was employed by Wolverine World Wide for 15 years before retiring.

Helen along with Arnold was the caretaker of local cemeteries for over 10 years, including Higbee Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. They also enjoyed crafting and camping throughout Michigan. She played Bingo at the Mecosta County Senior Center. Helen loved to cook and bake, especially her famous sticky buns.

She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by her three children, Donna Krum of Morley, Richard (Barbara) Sharp Sr. of Mecosta and Joyce White of Mecosta; 10 grandchildren, Brian (Brenda) Krum, Kim (Troy) Johnson, Naomi (Glenn) Cawley, Jeri Jo (Daniel II) Rolston, Richard (Leslie) Sharp Jr., Annette (Harry) Coles, Cindy (David) Flynn, Nicole (fianc Roger French) Perrin, Matt (Tracy) Godbold, Joanne (fianc Larry Boerma) Goforth; 28 great-grandchildren, 35 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend George and Lilie (Browers) Scott , her husband Arnold on October 28, 2008, a grandson Jeff Godbold, great-granddaughter Cassie Perrin, sons-in-law Larry White and Jerry Krum; five sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Chaplain Dan Pflug officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, December 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Helens name may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
