Helen Margaret Petz, age 98 formerly of Wyoming, MI, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Samaritas in Cadillac where she resided. She was born on January 1, 1920 in Grand Rapids to John and Velma (Laktos) Horvath. Helen married Theodore C. Petz on December 22, 1942. They made their home and raised their family in Grand Rapids. She was employed at Kent Dry-cleaners, worked at MacInerny as a riveter and did housekeeping for several companies all in the Grand Rapids area. Helen moved to Big Rapids in 2006 to be closer to her family.

Helen is survived by two children, Jewell Petz of Gulliver and Sandra Aemiseggar of Stanwood; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore in 1971; two children, Marc R. Petz and Debra A. Sivin; siblings, Julius and Johnny Horvath, Jeanny Wilson, Elenor Wheeler, Mary Zalewski and Irma Evanczo, daughter-in-law, Barb Petz and son-in-law, Edward Aemiseggar.

A celebration of Helens life will be held at the Solon Township Hall, 15185 Algoma Ave. NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319 beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
