Heather Lyn Sorum - VanVlerah, age 36 of Morley, went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 15, 2015. She joined her grandparents, Marvin and Janet Bateman and Robert Sorum, who preceded her in death. She was born November 3, 1978 in Lakeview. Heather was a 1997 graduate of Morley - Stanwood High School. She met the love of her life, Jeramy VanVlerah and together they have made their home in Morley for the past 13 years. Heather will be forever missed by her loving family including her fianc, Jeramy VanVlerah of Morley; parents, Angela (Bob) Seaman, David Sorum; paternal grandmother, Bernice Sorum all of Morley; Jeramy's parents, Dan and Gail VanVlerah of Lakeview; brothers, Justin (Megan) Sorum of Morley, Trevor (Tianna) Seaman currently stationed with the United States Army at Eglin AFB, Florida, Tyler Seaman of Morley; sisters, Bethany (Joshua) Carey of Stanwood, Rebecca Stanton of Big Rapids; nine nephews, Drake, Marrick, Garrett, Blake, Beau, Asa, Calder, Emerson, Reese and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor David Bongard officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, May 18th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Aetna Township Cemetery.
