Harry D. West, 72, of Barryton, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. He was born on November 9, 1952, in South Haven, Michigan, to Clarence and Lucille (Castles) West. Harry worked as a telephone technician for AT&T, previously Michigan Bell, dedicating over 50 years of service before retiring. He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and a proud member of the American Motorcycle Association. His passion extended to include a deep interest in World War II aviation and American history. A proud patriot, Harry took great pride in learning and studying the nations history. Harry was a devoted member and actively involved in Redeemer Lutheran Church, Big Rapids. Known for his great sense of humor, Harry loved to joke and share fun moments with family and friends. Harry is survived by his siblings: Millie (Ron) Sandelius, William (Diane) West, Rose (Chris) Petersen, and Frank (Liz) West; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Avison West. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Big Rapids.
