Harry A. Albright age 86, a lifelong resident and businessman of Big Rapids, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at his home. He was born September 10, 1928 in Grand Rapids, the son of Charles "Ted" and Ivah (Johnson) Albright. Harry married Maureen Cameron in Grand Rapids on January 31, 1953 and together they raised their family in Big Rapids. He owned and operated Harry's TV and Antenna and Harry's Rentals since 1963. Harry enjoyed bowling and treasure hunting. He also liked to hunt and fish. His passing from this earth leaves colorful and varied memories for many local friends and acquaintances. Harry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maureen Albright of Big Rapids; four sons, Robert (Maria) Albright of Canada, Steven Albright of White Cloud, Greg (Julie) Albright of Big Rapids and Harry Albright Jr. of Big Rapids; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Beatrice (George) Hesley Of Sparta; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Glenadine Ray. Funeral Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Bruce Peterson officiating. Interment will be at Crapo Cemetery in Paris, MI. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Harry's name to the Big Rapids First Baptist Church or Spectrum Health Hospice.
