Our beloved husband, father, grandfather Harold B. Bentley passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 in Grand Rapids at the age of 76. He was born on September 6, 1941 in Sears, MI the son of Joseph and Floy (Covert) Bentley. Harold was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He married Candee Bazaire on April 8, 1972 in Barryton where they reside and raised their family.

Harold worked for several businesses in the Barryton area throughout his life. He was a handy man and enjoyed using his creative mind to make things. Harold loved deer hunting, collecting novelties, reading, singing and making cookies for Candees beauty shop. In his prime he would greet you with a smile, and tell you a story that made you laugh. He was always willing and looked forward to lending a helping hand at church.

Harold will be deeply missed by his wife of 45 years, Candee; his daughter, Tami (Brian) Earle of Two Rivers, AK; grand-daughters, Madison and Mykena Earle; grand-dogs, Willow and Spruce who loved nap time with grandpa; two sisters, Betty Balcer of Sears and Mona Bunting of St. Louis; Aunt Millies family and many extended family members, nieces, nephews and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arlo and Dale Bentley.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Barryton Lighthouse Free Methodist Church where he was a member. Pastor Tom Doherty will be officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the memorial at the church. Donations of flowers or helping the family will be welcomed.
