Harmon E. Potter age 92, formerly of Barryton, died October 30, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born March 13, 1931 in Hastings, the son of Harvey and Ethel (VanWarmer) Potter. Harmon was in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He received his Purple Heart in Kumhwa in 1952 before being honorably discharged in 1953. After the war he worked at Wesson Biscuit Cooking Company and later at Hydreco from where he retired.
Harmon was a homebody who enjoyed woodworking and making birdhouses. He loved to be outdoors, he had a passion for hunting and fishing. Harmon loved to open his home on Diamond Lake to friends and family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend.
He is survived by his sons, Eric (Tamra) Burbank of Louisville, KY, John (Debra) Potter of Marshall; grandchildren, Autumn, Summer, and five others; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Luella.
