Harley Oris Pardee, of Barryton, passed away surrounded by family on February 1, 2026 at the age of 77. He was born in Lansing on April 12, 1948 to Robin and Maude (Ankney) Pardee.

Harley married Janis (Byron) on May 13, 1967, and they made their home in the Mason area until moving to Barryton in 1971. They were married for 55 years before Janis's passing in 2022. While in Barryton, Harley made his mark as a kind and hardworking neighbor. For 14 years, he mowed the grass all over the community for businesses and residents. When he wasn't driving truck, Harley enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and above all, spending time with his family. He loved animals and he and Janis worked hard on their hobby farm, but he never did make friends with goats, cats, or rabbits. Harley loved singing karaoke and attending music festivals; He and Janis were annual attendees of both the Lilac Festival and Barryton Days, where Janis worked the front gate and Harley worked the back gate for security.

He is survived by three children: Eric Pardee, Everett (Lori) Pardee, and Deanna Pardee; grandchildren: Jesse (Taylor) Pardee, Harley J. (Kendra) Pardee, Daniel Pardee, Kailey Pardee, Zachary Bouck, Rebecca (Michael) Davis, and Kristina Harrison; eight great-grandchildren: Liam, Madelyn, Makenzie, Kolden, Kaden, Ethan, Oliver, and Bonnie; and siblings: Robin (Betty) Pardee, Kevin (Pat) Pardee, Linda Wrigter, Philip (Rose) Pardee, Mary Cranfill, and John Pardee.

Harley is preceded in death by his loving wife, Janis, as well as his sister, Suzie Brodberg.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, 3:00 P.M. at Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes, Barryton. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family. Arrangements are in the care of Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes, Barryton.
