Gregory Lee Edgerly, age 51, of Port St Lucie, Fla, passed away on Thursday July 2nd, 2009, in his home after battling cancer. He was born on November 16, 1957 in Tucson, AZ to Max and Meriem (Blanchard) Edgerly. He married Marilyn (Wilkie) Edgerly on July 19, 1984 in Big Rapids, Michigan. He received his bacholers in Accounting from Ferris State University. He worked as a self-employed remolding contractor for 22 years. For the past two years he ran and operated Edgerly and Son Construction with his son. Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; his son, Gregory, age 22; his daughter Angela, age 20, and granddaughter, Madeline, age 9 months. He is also survived by two brothers Jack Adel Edgerly of CA; and Michael James Edgerly of IA; and several neices and nephews; and loving friends. Besides his parents, Greg was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Katherine Edgerly; and a brother, Larry Allen Edgerly. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; and will never be forgotten. The family will greet with friends on Sunday, July 12th at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. pm. There will also be a memorial service that will take place 11:00 a.m. on July 13 at the First Baptist Church in Morley with Pastor Steven Finn officiating. Interment will be in Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley.
