Grace E. Spindler, age 79 of Sears, Michigan, Drake, Colorado and Sun City, Arizona, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her daughters home in Remus. She was born October 2, 1936 in Sears, the daughter of Newton and Beulah (Bailey) McMichael. Grace graduated from the Barryton Agricultural High School in 1954. She married James Spindler on January 24, 1955 in Barryton and together they raised their family in Remus, Michigan, Arizona, and Colorado. Grace was a member of the Mecosta VFW Auxiliary Post 2335. She is survived by four children, Walt Spindler of Longmont, Colorado, Jeff Spindler of Drake, Colorado, Kelly Spindler of Remus, Michigan, and Scott Spindler of Fort Lupton, Colorado; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Bisard of Lansing and Peggy (Pat) Dillon of Beaverton; many nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Spindler; brother, Tom McMichael; sister, Etta Arbogast; and son, Michael Spindler. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association or Woodland Hospice.
