Gordon Wayne Pennock, age 77 of Chippewa Lake, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his home, with the family he adored at his side. He was born on June 8, 1939 in Marshall, MI to Erwin and Lena (Page) Pennock. Gordie graduated from Springfield High School in 1957 and went on to earn his Journeyman as a Color Cameraman. On July 11, 1959 he married the love of his life, JoAnn Langs.

Gordie was an avid outdoorsman, loved boating, U of M Sports fanatic, master wood worker, expert model boat builder (from his own designs), FSU Hockey fan and to his family- a genius. Gordie was strong, inspired his family and took pride in his home.

Gordie leaves behind his wife of 57 years, JoAnn; three children, Melinda (Chris Meek) Pennock of Greenville, Greg (Traci Palmer) of Chippewa Lake, Michael (Susan) of Big Rapids; five grandchildren, Gerik, Brittany, Marisa (Jake) Johnston, Trace and Brookann Pennock; one great-grandson, Cole Ryman Pennock; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a close extended family of endeared friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Lena.

His family and friends celebrate Gordies life and continue to remember the legacy he left behind.
