Goldie A. Marek, age 98, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her home in Morley. She was born January 27, 1923 in Morley, the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Sharp) Beemer. Goldie married Carl Marek in 1939 and together they moved to a farm east of Stanwood. She belonged to the American Legion Post #554 in Morley for over 20 years. Goldie loved to play bingo, cards, and help her husband on the farm. She is survived by her son, Tony (Barb) Marek; brothers, Jerry (Barb) Beemer, Gilbert (Deb) Beemer; sister Sherry Beemer; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Goldie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; sons, Roger, Emil, Carl Jr. "Butchie"; brothers, Jerry, Norman, Jack, Ernie, Gerald, Harold, Clarence; sisters, Alma Russell, Margie Husted, and Helen Main.
