Gloria J. Markham, age 66 of Howard City, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at her family's home in Mecosta. She was born April 10, 1947 in Centralia, Illinois the daughter of Roy and Evelyn (Parker) Gonser. She was raised in Illinois and moved to the Morley Stanwood area where she resided for ten years from 1995 to 2005. Gloria moved to Howard City shortly after 2005 until her health began to decline. She lived her life to be a mother and grandmother. Gloria liked watching horses, fishing, music and dancing. Gloria is survived by her mother Evelyn Gonser of Morley; her son, Larry Markham of Howard City; daughters at heart, Sabrina (Chris) Renne of Mecosta and Stephanie Markham of Mecosta; the grandchildren she adored, Sabrina Markham, Lakota Markham, Ashton Markham, Sondria Woodbury, Stephanie Brown, Brooklynn Myers, Zachary Myers, Shawna Myers; a sister, Sandra (Tom) Linn of Morley; and brothers, David (Barbara) Gonser of Texas, Frank Gonser of Rogers Heights and many nieces and nephews. Gloria was preceded in death by her dad, Roy Gonser, Husband, Harold F. Markham in 2005, a sister Patricia Okay and brother Larry Gonser. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Deerfield Bible Church (759 150th Avenue, Morley, MI 49336) with the family greeting friends one hour prior at the church.
