Glenn "Turk" Sterling, age 67, of Mecosta, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007 in Mt. Pleasant. He was born August 17, 1939 in Big Rapids to Glenn and Laverna (Dexter) Sterling. He married Linda Sue Packard on March 11, 1996 in Mecosta. Glenn was employed at Sterling Construction for several years. Glenn is survived by his wife, Linda of Mecosta Three step-children "" Darin (Kim) Wilber of Rodney Bruce & Brian Wilber both of Mecosta Two grandsons "" Brandon and Philip Wilber One brother "" Keith (Sue) Sterling of Canadian Lakes Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Neil; and a sister, Jean. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 2nd at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Mike Riegler officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until services at 1:00 p.m. Spring interment will be at Highland View Cemetery in Big Rapids.
