Glenn V. Sharp of Morley passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at home with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Stanwood on July 29, 1939, the son of Earl and Marvis (Hollenbeck) Sharp. Glenn attended Big Rapids High School. He married Sue (Wood) Sharp on October 12, 1959 and together they made their home in Stanwood until moving to Morley in 2012. Glenn retired from CSX Railroad in 1999. Glenn will be remembered for his honesty and work ethic, but most of all for being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his beloved family. Surviving are: his wife of 56 years Sue Sharp of Morley; his wonder dog Chico the Chihuahua; his two children, Tammy (Glen) Louck of Morley, Jodi (Chris) Herbert of Morley; five grandchildren, Glen (Amber) Louck of Morley, Joseph (Megan) Louck of Morley, Amanda Wright of Knoxville, TN, Joshua Wright of Newport News, VA, Jeralynn Wright of Lake Odessa; three greatgrandsons, two greatgrandaughters; four sisters, Winifred Spedoske of Stanwood, Beverly (Dave) Cousineau of Summerville, GA, Geraldine (Dale) Bell of Palm Coast, FL, Beatrice (Dutch) Bell of Conroe, TX; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends, including Carl and Linda Velting of Morley, Kenny and Sherry Olson of Lowell, and Pete and Chris Mihalciuc of Morley. Glenn was preceded in death by: his son Richard Sharp; infant daughter Sherry Sharp; father and mother Earl and Marvis Sharp; three brothers, Robert, Gerald (Helen) and Gilbert; one sister, Wilma Sharp; Father and Motherinlaw, Leon and Ruby Wood; two brothers-in-law, Philip Wood, Glen Spedoske; and one sister-in-law, Nancy (Robert) Sharp. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends on Saturday, July 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral on Sunday.
