Glenn K. Cox, age 69 of Big Rapids, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Metron of Big Rapids. Glenn was born June 25, 1943 in Big Rapids, the son of Glenn G. and Irene H. (Rondeau) Cox. He was employed at the General Motors Engine Plant in Flint until his retirement. In 2001 Glenn returned to Big Rapids, where he and his wife, Karleen, had gone to high school. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. He is survived by his wife Karleen of Big Rapids; a son, Keith Douglas (Bridget Patchett) Cox of Howell; a grandson, Corbin Glenn Cox; two step-daughters, Michelle Lynn (James) Wenglikowski of Leo, Indiana, and Ann Renee (Mark) Wenglikowski of Bay City; several step-grandchildren, Emily, J.T., Megan, Michael, Antonio, Alicia, Dakota, David, and Kayla Wenglikowski. He is also survived by his extended family Thomas Bacca; a sister, Carol Ann (Glenn) Holt of Rodney and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Cox and a sister, Judy Common. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at St. Paul's Campus Parish. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Interment will take place at Highland View Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Glenn's name may be made to either Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Evart or the Big Rapids Friends of the Library.
