Gladys "Luella" Rupp, age 92 of Big Rapids formerly of Hampstead, Maryland, passed away November 12, 2017. She was born August 8, 1925 in Hampstead, the daughter of George and Edith Danner. Luella graduated from Carroll County High School and won an award for being the fastest runner in Carroll County. She moved to Big Rapids in 2007. Luella is survived by her daughter, Barbara (John) Turner of Big Rapids; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edgar Rupp, 12 siblings, two sons, and a grandson. A memorial service will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Church of the Nazarene in Big Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made in Luellas name to her family.
