Georgia C. Wieland, age 71 of Big Rapids, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017. She was born January 8, 1946 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Arthur and Clara (Merritt) Simington. Georgia loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She is survived by three sons, Aaron Jesko of Kansas, Chris (Nancy) Jesko of Rockford, and Scott (Erin) Jesko of Comstock Park; seven grandchildren, Anthony and Alivia, Julia and Jared, Christian, Ashley, and Brittany; nine brothers and sisters, Betty Mandell, Gloria Tuffelmire, Darlene Denton, Jim Simington Sr., Mary Keeler, Sharon (Dale) Myers, Patricia (Bob) Trapp, Connie (Steve) Robinson, and Brian (Tina) Simington; sister-in-law, Jessie Simington; and many nieces and nephews. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Charles Simington, Shirley Murer, and Arthur Simington Jr. A celebration of life will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
