Gavin Miller, 21, of Rodney, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was born on March 10, 2003, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. His parents are Martin and Katie (McMullen) Miller. A 2021 graduate of Chippewa Hills High School, Gavin was a multi-sport athlete, playing football, baseball, and wrestling during his time in school. After graduation, he embraced his love for the outdoors, enjoying activities like hunting, fishing, and working on his truck. Gavin had a love for animals and frequently joked about bringing home another pet. He cherished time spent outdoors with his friends and family, either around a bonfire, catching up, but the time spent with his friends is what Gavin thrived on. Gavin is survived by his parents, Martin and Katie Miller; his siblings, Gabriel Miller (Krysten), Alyssa Miller (Tristan), Matthew Miller (Jace), Willow Miller (Andrew), Tryna Miller, Alana Buckholtz, and Gage Heckard; his grandfather, Raymond Miller; and his special friend, Kaitlin Becker. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Megan Miller, and his grandparents, Judy Miller and Ted and Connie McMullen. A celebration of Gavins life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at the Chippewa Township Community Building in Chippewa Lake. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Gavin will be laid to rest at Chippewa Lake Cemetery.
