Gary L. Storey, 73, of Reed City, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. He was born on June 8, 1952, in Lakeview, the son of Hugh and Mildred (Kimball) Storey.

Gary loved working in his yard, gardening, raising chickens, gathering fresh eggs, and helping on the family farm. He truly enjoyed the hard work and took pride in providing for his family through the work of his hands. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed fishing, living a simple family life, and faithfully following his beliefs.

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise; son, Travis; daughter, Lindsey; mother-in-law, Mary Rhodes; siblings, Majail, Vernon, Wayne (Louise), Carl, Betty, Dennis (Diane), and Dick; brothers-in-law, Dale, Dean (Kristi), Don, and David (Gayle); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Joyce, Hazel, Keith, Darl, and Pauline.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sylvester Community Church in Mecosta. The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will follow.

He will be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery in Hersey.
