Gary T. Powell, age 57, of Morley, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023. He was born May 16, 1966 in Stanwood, the son of Butch and Rosie (Skahan) Powell. Gary enjoyed working at Hope Network for many years. He loved to participate in the Special Olympics and CranHill Friendship Camp every summer. Gary enjoyed bowling, watching WWE and cheering on his favorite wrestler Hulk Hogan. He was a happy person who loved people and singing and dancing. His infectious smile will be missed. He is survived by his mother, Rosie Powell of Morley; sisters, Rosalie (John) Wallace of Auburn, Dina (Alan) Scott of Morley; several nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Butch Powell. Memorial contributions may be made in Garys name to Special Olympics Michigan, Central Michigan University, Mt.
