Gary W. Myers age 60, a lifelong resident of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 24, 2022. He was born on August 31, 1961, the son of the late Larry and Nancy (Ray) Myers. Gary was a 1980 graduate from Big Rapids High School. He retired from Ferris State University as a custodian after more than 30 years of employment. Gary was a fan of any and all sports, he especially liked to play golf. Gary enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and a good game of euchre. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them. Gary is survived by his son, Benjamin (Sierra Switzer) Myers of Hersey, and Ben's mom, Shelly; sister, Melody Alder of Milan; three nieces, Jennifer (Jeff), Tiffany, and Jessica; great niece and nephews; aunts, Sharon (Art) Vincent and Sandy Sweet, both of Big Rapids, Paula (Gary) Finney, Marcia Burmeister, Kelli (Todd) Hickman; extended family and many close friends, including Ron Fowler and Gary Shivy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
