Gary Neil Finney II, 43 of Harrison, formerly of Barryton, passed away at his home, Saturday, January 5, 2008. Gary was born November 7, 1964 to Gary Neil and Paula Marie (Myers) Finney in Lansing, MI. As a young child, Gary lived in Lansing. In 1971, his parents decided to return to their hometown of Barryton. Gary lived most of his life in Barryton, where he attended Chippewa Hills High School. Gary spent many years working in the oilfields of Michigan and the eastern United States. He worked for Advance Energy Services and its predecessor companies. He was currently employed by Integrity as a directional driller. Gary married Karen Schoenlein on October 20, 1995. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Karen his parents; Gary and Paula Finney of Barryton Children; Andrew Finney Rachel (Steve) Fate Alan Vincent Jeremy Wixon his two most favorite girls in the world, his granddaughters; Kurstyn and Addison Fate. his brothers; Chris and Todd Finney nephews; T.J. and Jacob Finney sisters-in-law; Kay (Eric) McNeilly Kim Schoenlein, niece; Mariah McNeilly and his father-in-law; Robert Schoenlein. Gary will be missed by his Grandmother; Helen Myers and his many aunts and uncles; Nancy Myers, Linda (John) Abbott, Marcia (Otto) Burmeister, Jerrilynn (Bud) Strong, Cheryl Forcia, John (Deb) Neidzielski, Mary (Joe) Bechaz, Jeff (Lori) Neidzielski, Kelli Myers, Harold (Ursala) Finney, Willis (Linda) Finney, Shirley (Frank) Scepanski, and Marilyn Hill and his numerous extended family. Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents; Harold and Louise Finney, Russell Myers, and Pauline and Howard Brown, his mother-in-law, Joan Schoenlein, uncles, Larry Myers and Keith Finney and aunt; Betty Finney. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Barryton Church of God with Reverend David Jewell officiating. The family will greet friends at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton on Monday, (today) from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, Jan. 8th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday from 12 (noon) until 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery in Barryton. Memorial contributions in Gary's name may be made to either the Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
