Frances J. (Kirvan) Pyles, age 69, of Mecosta passed away, Sunday, September 23, 2007 in Grand Rapids. She was born January 14, 1938 in Flint, MI to Darrell and Charlotte (Coburn) Kirvan. Frances graduated from the former Dye High School in Flint, Mott School of Nursing and U of M Flint. She worked for the Genesee Public Health Department retiring as a public health nurse. Frances had further medical education training in New York City, Toronto, Canada and Cairo, Egypt. On October 27, 1956 she married John L. Pyles in Flint where they made their home until moving to Horsehead Lake in 1998. She was a member of the Michigan Nurses Association, L.O.S.N.A of Flint and Order of the Eastern Star #417 Six Lakes. Frances is survived by her loving husband of 51 years John of Mecosta, one son Kevin (Jenne) Pyles and their children Joshua and Rebecca all of Eagan, MN and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, Sept. 25th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27th at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. In lieu of flowers donations in Frances's name may be made to the Shriners Children Hospital.
