Frances P. Moore, age 89 of Big Rapids, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2015 at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital. She was born September 30, 1925 in the youngest of eight children in Rockland Texas, the daughter of Martin R. and Polly J. (Rollins) Penn. Frances made her home in Beaumont, Texas where she was employed at J. C. Penny as a cosmetics sales lady. She was a member of the Beaumont First Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Frances moved to Michigan in 1990, following the death of her sister Janie Bryant. She is survived by her beloved son; Wallace Thomas Moore of Big Rapids; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her favorite cat, Brandy. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Thomas Moore Jr.; two sisters, Janie Bryant, Leena Causey and five brothers. Frances will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, Texas. Memorial contributions in Frances's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
