Forest V. "Ford" Fenton, age 93 of Barryton, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his home. He was born on July 21, 1918 in Sears, Michigan to Harley and Eva (Winters) Fenton. On November 28, 1946 Ford married Neva Curtis at the Curtis family home on Hoover Road in Barryton. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving in World War II. Ford worked in the construction industry and spent the majority of his working career doing construction at Ferris State and Central Michigan Universities. Upon retirement in 1974 he enjoyed working around the home and fishing and camping with his wife Neva. Ford is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Neva of Barryton; two brothers, Bud (Rowean) Fenton of Sears, Edwin Fenton of Sears; two sisters, Vera Enyart of Traverse City, Eva (Duane) Phelps of Evart and numerous nieces and nephews. Ford was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with the family greeting friends one hour prior from Noon until 1PM. Pastor Tom Doherty will be officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Orient Twp. Cemetery in Sears. Memorial donations in Ford's name can be made to the Barryton Community Christian School.
