Florence J. Sibole, age 74 of Rodney, passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 at Mecosta County Health Services in Big Rapids. She was born December 20, 1933 in Detroit to Frank and Ruth (Bryans) Hill. Florence married Malcolm "Max" Sibole in Dearborn. They made their home in Southgate where they raised their family. In 1982 they moved to the Rodney area and built a successful dairy farm. Florence was a good neighbor and stayed active in her community. She served as an officer for the "Grange" . She is survived by her loving family; Her husband of 55 years, Malcolm "Max" Sibole of Rodney Six children: Chella (Ken) Prater of Woodhaven Ruth Lyons of Delaware Dorothy (Ken) Kowalczyk of New Hudson Mary (Donald) Conover of Elizabethtown, KY Malcolm "Max" Jr. (Val) Sibole Jr. of Grosse Ile Chris (Suzanne) Sibole of Marshall, WI Eleven Grandchildren, four Great-grandchildren Five brothers; Kenneth, Vincent, Raymond, Phillip and Frank Hill Jr. and many nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, John Hamilton and two sisters, Gladys and Jean. A funeral liturgy will take place 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Father Lam T. Le officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Spring interment will be at the Martiny Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions are being accepted in Florence's memory.
