Faith P. Schwartz, age 92 of Morley, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 27, 1919 in Wayne County the daughter of Fredrick and Ethel (White) Cooley. Faith lived many years in the Walled Lake area and moved to Mecosta County in 1969. She had worked as a cook for Doyle's Supper Club on Blue Lake and later owned an Adult Foster Care home in the Big Rapids area. Faith will be remembered as a kind and generous woman. She lived for her family and always put their needs before her own. Faith is survived by her daughter, Diane Sharp of Morley, with whom she had made her home, for over 20 years; a daughter-in-law, Deb Aten of Big Rapids; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; 2 beloved sisters-in-law, Loretta Cooley and Norita Cooley both of Big Rapids and numerous nieces and nephews. Faith was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Barbara Vallette, Judy McGeshick; three sons, Tom Aten, Freddie Aten and Dan Aten; four sisters, Thelma Ayers, Ruth Bouman, Arlene Englund, infant sister; four brothers, Joseph Cooley, Lloyd Cooley, Melvin Cooley Sr. and Walter Cooley A memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 6th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Anne Riegler officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Spring interment will be at Pine Plains Cemetery in Big Rapids where Faith will be laid to rest with her husband John J. Schwartz who preceded her in death on September 10, 1992. Memorial contributions in Faith's name may be given to her family.
