Evelyn R. Nott, age 92 of Chippewa Lake, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Metron of Big Rapids. She was born June 24, 1914 in Nunica to Arthur and Rose (Moninger) Hale. Evelyn graduated from Muskegon High School. Following graduation she moved to Mecosta County with her family, where she met Ernest Nott of Chippewa Lake. They were married June 1, 1935 and together they owned and operated a farm and Evelyn became a well known and active member of the Chippewa Lake Community. Evelyn is survived by: Son: Ron Nott of Chippewa Lake Daughter: Joanne Correll of Hersey Six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Ernest in 1993, three sisters; Frances Hale, Edna Rollenhagen and Virginia Hagen, four brothers; Loyd, Ferris, Orrie and George Hale. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with Reverend Kreaton Cullimore officiating. Burial at Martiny Township Cemetery will follow services. The family will greet friends at the funeral home in Barryton on Monday, May 28th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
