Evelyn Ann Isanhart, age 82 of Barryton, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020, peacefully at home after a battle with cancer. Evelyn was born September 27, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to the late Finnan J. and Dorthea (Judge) Cuthbert. She married Archie Isanhart in February 1955. They lived in Lansing before moving to Barryton to raise their three children. Evelyn worked at Evart Products for 34 years before retiring in 1993. She made lots of friends over the years and enjoyed meeting up with them to have coffee and catch up on life. Evelyn was widowed in 1994 but she never removed her wedding rings. According to her she was married to the "best man ever." She spent her time enjoying her grandchildren and reading or working crossword puzzles. She also loved meeting up for coffee with her best friends (sisters-in-law) Donnabelle McLachlan and Beverly Burger. She is survived by her daughter Debra Struthers of Mesa, Arizona, son Archie Isanhart Jr of Barryton, Michigan, and daughter Shari Mester of Barryton Michigan; grandchildren Archie Isanhart III of Barryton, Ashley Isanhart of Barryton, April Mester of Barryton and Cala Lienhart of Barryton; great-grandchildren Gracelyn Louise, Kinsley Rae Isanhart and Beau Matthew Byrnes of Barryton, sister Berniece (Russ) Rolston of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, her brother John Cuthbert of Sears Michigan and special friend of the family Albert Thatcher, who was like one her kids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie in 1994. He was the love of her life and she is reunited with him now. She recently lost her sister, Marcides Osborne of Remus in July of 2020, and has lost several friends over the years. She was loved greatly and will be missed deeply. A graveside service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Flake Cemetery in Barryton with Pastor Rick Lippert officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery on Thursday.
