Eva L. (Lenon) Larrison, age 82 of Hersey, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009. She was born December 1, 1926 in rural Weidman the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Williams) Thompson. Eva married Donald Lenon Sr. They raised their family in the DeWitt and Laingsburg communities. Eva focused her earlier years being a loving and devoted wife and mother, she later worked as an editor for the C.B. World Magazine, All Sport Trophy and was the bookkeeper for her husband's business; Lenon Electric. Don Lenon Sr. passed away in 1982 and Eva later married Carroll Larrison. They moved to Hersey and made their home on the Muskegon River where they have lived for over 20 years. Eva is survived by her loving family whose members include, her husband Carrol Larrison of Big Rapids; a daughter, Sherri (Pat) Enlow of Ludington; 4 sons, Gary (Claudia) Lenon of Hersey, Donald Jr. (Susie) Lenon of Smyrna, TN, Patrick (Ricky) Lenon of Ovid, Michael (Barb) Lenon of Elsie; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lowella Miller of Big Rapids, Gwendolyn Randall of Muskegon and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and first husband Don, Eva was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Rita Esch, Geneva Moses, Thelma Losey, Beatrice Dell; 4 brothers, Clifford, Virgil, Urban and Floyd Thompson. Funeral services will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Big Rapids with Reverend Dean Prentiss. Burial will be following a luncheon at church at Wambolt Cemetery in Remus. The family will greet friends on Sunday November 29th at the Daggett Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions in Eva's memory may be made to the Mecosta County Commission on Aging.
