Eula M. Moore, 89, of Stanwood passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her home. She was born on April 13, 1921 in Mancelona, the daughter of Frank and Jennie (Lichty) Frederick. Eula married Benjamin G. Moore on April 20, 1939. She was a cook at Ferris State University for 18 years, retiring in 1983. Eula attended the Stanwood Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed good country gospel music and spent many hours listening to tapes and attending singspirations. She is survived by her children, Charles Moore of Morley, Joyce (Ned) Coulson of Lakeview, Duain (Jan) Moore of Stanwood, Shirley Moore of Stanwood, Fred (Reta) Moore of Morley, Dale (Pam) Moore of Edmore and Mary (Bob) Parker of Stanwood; 23 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin (Yvonne) Frederick of Livonia; 2 sisters, Ethelene (Jack) Henson and Linda Murray both of Mancelona. Eula was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben on February 16, 1992; a son, Carl Moore; 3 brothers, Orrin, Alvin and Ervin Frederick and a sister, Doris Queen. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Stanwood Free Methodist Church with Pastor Ron White officiating. The family will greet friends at the church two hours prior to services. Burial will be at Altona Cemetery.
