Elva J. Carey, age 75, of Barryton passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 14, 2023. She was born July 22, 1948 in Flint, the daughter of William and Margaret (Lincoln) Bailey. Elva worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years before retiring from Kelsey Memorial in Lakeview. She was passionate about cooking and baking. Elva loved canning many different foods and enjoyed reading. She will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years David Carey of Barryton; children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and siblings. Elva was preceded in death by her parents.
