Elnora "Ellie" H. Jones, age 93 of Mecosta, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Mecosta County Medical Center. She was born May 3, 1918 in Carson City, the daughter of Cleo and Mabel (Jackson) Feighner. Ellie graduated from Carson City High School in 1936. She began her working career as a cosmetologist. Ellie became a full time housewife when she married Rahl "Bob" Jones in 1941 and made their home in Grand Rapids where they raised their children. She later was employed at Dexter Lock until her retirement. Bob and Ellie moved to Lake Mecosta in 1976 where she was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. Ellie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her flower garden and cooking for her family. Ellie is survived by her children, Marilyn (Scott) Sygrove of AZ, Dennis "DJ" (Joyce) Jones of Saginaw and Roberta (Colin) Cline of Big Rapids; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Millie) Feighner of Cadillac; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ellie was preceded in death by her husband, Rahl Robson "Bob" Jones and 2 sisters. A memorial service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21st at the New Hope United Methodist Church in Mecosta with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions in Ellie's name may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 4069 Lake Drive SE Suite B-11, Grand Rapids, MI 49546, American Lung Association, New Hope United Methodist Church, 9276 9 mile Rd, Mecosta, MI 49332, Mecosta County CARES, P.O.
