Elgin Floyd Harvey, 49, of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026.

Elgin was born September 28, 1977, the son of Virgil and Jola Harvey. He married Leona Messenger on December 10, 1994 and together they were blessed with 2 children and 31 years of marriage. Elgin most recently worked as a press operator, but held multiple jobs throughout his life. He enjoyed working on cars, playing in the mud, and helping others. Elgin was a strong-willed, caring, persistent, determined, hard-working, and a slight pain in the butt. He will be deeply missed.

Elgin is survived by: his wife, Leona; children, Denise (Scott) Tinney; and Darren (Emiliy) Harvey; grandchildren, Stetson, Colsen, and Charlie; sister, Pyper (Angela) Lake; mother-in-law, Ann Messenger; and friends that became family, Benny (Cassie) Hensley, and Bill (Stacey) Hensley

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Jeff; adoptive father, Butch Smith; and father-in-law, Larry Messenger.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
