Elfriede E. (Fischer) Hermann, age 80 of Big Rapids, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 with her family by her side. She was born November 5, 1930 in Germany. In 1953 Elfriede married Donald Hermann in Germany and later move to Michigan where they raised their family. Elfriede had a great group of friends that she stayed very close to over the years. She treasured her friends and the regular lunch outings that were planned. She also loved to cook and bake food for her family. Elfriede was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Elfriede is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Schippert and 2 grand children, Jason and Nicole Schippert of Big rapids. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Hermann. Cremation has taken place with no services at this time.
