Eleanor Weller, 94, of Big Rapids, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010. She was born on August 30, 1915, in Cassian, Wisc. Survivors include two sons, Thomas (Mary Jo) Weller of Lexington Park, Md., and Mark (Laura) Weller of Chippewa Lake; four grandchildren, Wendy (Ralph) Collier of Linden, Va., Thomas (Jamie) Weller Jr. of Long Beach, Calif., Aaron (Jennifer) Weller of McMillan, and Lauren (Clifton) Schneider of Chippewa Lake; two great-grandchildren, Renanah Weller and Dove Schneider; and her sisters, Dessie Spoelman of Muskegon and Frances Jimmerson of Petoskey. Eleanor was preceded in death in 2006 by her husband of 69 years, Alfred Weller, and one brother, Edgar Munroe. A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Terrace Assisted Living at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30th with Pastor Scott Kreh officiating. A private burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Grand Rapids. The Weller family wishes to extend their thanks to the loving staff of caregivers at Evergreen Terrace for more than four years of tenderly caring for Eleanor. Memorial contributions to the Eagle Village Chapel Program may be left at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
