Eleanor Jane Fraley, age 99 of Big Rapids, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Evergreen Terrace Assisted Living. She was born August 6, 1918 in Detroit, the daughter of Echo and Florence (Shaddock) Bovee. Eleanor graduated from McKinsey High School in Detroit. She was married to Robert Russell Fraley for 38 years, until his death in 1985. Eleanor spent her married years as a loving mother and homemaker. She is survived by three children, Robert Fraley, Gary (Marvel) Fraley, Diane (Wayne) Lucynski; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Eleanor was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Friday, who was a long time active member of the local community and Gladys Bovee. Cremation has taken place and Eleanors cremains will be buried in Aetna Township Cemetery beside her mother Florence and sisters, Irene and Gladys. There are no public services planned at this time. A special thanks to the staff at Evergreen Terrace who have provided Eleanor a pleasant home and loving domestic care for these last eleven years.
