Elaine M. Davis age 85 of Barryton formerly of Fremont, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2006. She was born November 26, 1921 to Frederick and Carrie (Stewart) Woolsey in Ypsilanti, MI. Elaine was very proud that she was part of the Drum and Bugle Corps. of Ypsilanti High School. She married Isaac C. Davis on Sept. 24, 1941 in Northville. Mr. and Mrs. Davis raised their family in the Ypsilanti area moving to Freemont upon retirement. Elaine was an avid golfer and bowler and currently enjoyed attending the Barryton Church of Christ with her daughter. Mrs. Davis is survived by her loving children: son Frederick and Maria Davis of Ypsilanti and daughter Patricia Whitt of Barryton. Grandchildren: Richard Boggs of Sandusky, Ohio and Nicole Davis of Washington D.C. Three great grandchildren: Erica Boggs of Britton, Ian and Jake Boggs of Sandusky, sister in law; Lydia Iles of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and brother in law Alfred and Darlene Davis of Stockbridge, MI She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Isaac, grandson Kevin Boggs and her brother Edwin Woolsey. A memorial service is being planned for this spring at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Twining, Michigan.
