Edward A. Walch Jr., age 65, of Remus passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Cedar Crest AFC Home in Remus. Edward was born August 14, 1946 in Detroit to Edward and Lena (Chesney) Walch Sr. Ed sold real estate in Remus and was a rural mail carrier for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working with A.A. and wood working. Ed was a member of the National Active & Retired Federal Employees and Rural Carriers Union. He is survived by his wife Hannah, his beloved mother Lena Walch, three sisters, Bonnie (Terry) Wernette, Paula (Roger) Moore all of Remus and Sandra Bartholomew of Fremont; two stepsons, John (Serena) Lake of Lansing and Richuard (Laura) Ghinelli of Houston, TX, four step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his father Edward A. Walch in 2004. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Wheatland Township Hall in Remus. Memorial donations in Ed's name can be made to Cedar Crest A.F.C., The Renucci House in Grand Rapids or Toys for Tots.
