Edna L. Suckow, age 85 of Paris, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008. She was born January 1, 1923 at home in Barton Township, Newaygo County to Henry and Frances (Hoverman) Cline. Edna married Nathan Suckow on November 28, 1942 and together they made their home and raised their family on their farm in Paris. Edna was employed at Wolverine World Wide in Big Rapids for over 20 years. She had been a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Big Rapids. Edna enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and baking. She is survived by her loving family of Three children; Edward (Kay) Suckow of Paris, Rosemary (Patrick) Kailing of Reed City, Linda Lou (Walter) Parks of Durango, CO 10 Grandchildren; Kimberly (M.C.) Liedberg of Atlanta, GA Tamara (David) Wood of Atlanta, GA T.Sgt Michael (Terri) Snavley, currently stationed in Korea/Grand Forks A.F.B.,ND Dawn (Tim) Pullen of Reed City, Shannon (John) Graves of White Cloud, Justin Parks of New York, Jennifer (Nathan) Wallace of Rockford, Matthew (Jackie) Suckow of Paris, Toni Kay Kailing of Reed City, Clayton Parks of Durango, CO, And 17 great-grandchildren 2 sisters; Margaret Todd of Paris and Mary Higley of Paw Paw and several nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Nathan Suckow on February 4, 2008, a grandson; Wesley Parks in 2005. Also 4 brothers: Edward, George, John & Frances (Bub) Cline and one sister Luella Hoffman. Memorial services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31st at the Trinity Lutheran Church at 19778 US 10, Reed City, with Pastor Dean Davenport officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan in Big Rapids or the American Cancer Society.
