Edna W. LeRoy, age 96 of Canadian Lakes, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007 at her home. She was born September 24, 1911 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada to Arthur and Winifred (Moss) Payton. Edna was a naturalized citizen, finishing her education in the United States. She married Lawrence Raupp and they made their home in the greater Detroit area. In 1954, Edna and Lawrence established "Raupp Campfitters" in Royal Oak and Lansing. Lawrence passed away and Edna continued to operate the businesses until her retirement. Edna later married Ralph LeRoy and they made their home in St. Clair. Following Ralph's retirement they moved to Canadian Lakes where they have lived for the past 25 years. Edna was a member of the Fellowship Christian Reformed Church in Big Rapids. She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph LeRoy of Canadian Lakes 2 sons; Harold (Julie) Raupp of Marysville James A. (Deborah) Raupp of Manistee 5 grandchildren; Tyler (Sara) Raupp of Durand Mitchell Raupp of Effingham, IL Jennifer (Brian) Porter of Spring Lake Adam Raupp of Dillon, CO Karen (Jacob) Clever of Merrimack, NH and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Edna will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 29th at the Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 407 Perry Street, Big Rapids with Pastor Ed Visser and Pastor Mike Wissink officiating. Memorial contributions in Edna's name may be directed to Eagle Village, Inc. or the Fellowship Christian Reformed Church of Big Rapids.
