Edna Agnes (ONeill) Cady, after 101 years of life, went to be with her Lord with her family beside her, on January 31, 2018. She was one of 16 children born to Sylvester and Ethel (Marlatt) ONeill in Mecosta Township and lived her entire life in this area. She married the love of her life, George S. Cady on October 29, 1933 and together for 61 years they raised six children, George I., Shirley, Jack, Gordon, John and Charlotte. They ran their family business, Cady Auto Parts and had a restaurant on Maple Avenue. She also worked at Wrights Bakery. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, her husband George S., two sons Jack and George I., her daughter Shirley, a daughter-in-law Sue, one grandchild Eva, two great-grandchildren Michele and Bridgette, two great-great grandchildren Miranda and infant baby boy Guild. She is survived by her sons Gordon of Florida, John (Lora) of Reed City, daughter Charlotte (Bob) Guild of Big Rapids, son-in-law Marvin Nelson of Leroy, daughter-in-law Edith Cady of Big Rapids, twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-nine great-grandchildren, seventy-three great-great grandchildren and sixteen great-great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Barbara Biller of Big Rapids, Mildred Cady of Kentucky, and Winafred ONeill of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews. Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 11:00 am Monday, February 12, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Big Rapids with Father Michael Burt and Father Michael Hodges concelebrating. Family will greet friends and relatives at the church one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Monday.
