Edmound Jonas "E.J." Groh, age 84, of Lake passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at his sisters home. E.J. was born May 21, 1934 in Sandusky, to Delford and Violet (Minnick) Groh. On December 17, 1966 he married Barbara Groat in Port Huron. They made their home in Melvin, MI where they raised their family until moving to Lake in 1980.

E.J. looked forward to setting up and selling items at flea markets, riding motorcycles when he was able and most of all spending time with children, family and friends. E.J. was a member of the Weidman Eagles Club and an active member of the Millbrook Free Methodist Church.

E.J. was a hard worker and held many jobs. He worked for the Mount Pleasant School system as a custodian and also at the Holiday Inn. He lived life to the fullest.

E.J. is survived by his children, Ronald (Dianna) Groh of Weidman, Ronda Andress of Lake, Danny (Mishelle) Steinmann of Mayville and Cindy (Scott) Tatman of Mayville; siblings, Betty Isaac of Port Huron, Ray (Judy) Groh of Port Huron, Robert Groh of Morley, Violet (Lon) Turner of Big Rapids, Carol (Robert) Craven of Lake, Mary (William) Eaton of Stanwood, Dewight Groh of Barryton; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

E.J. was preceded in death by his parents, Delford and Violet Groh; wife, Barbara in 2009; two great-granddaughters, Amara and Aliyea; a daughter, Renee Groh; five brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services for E.J. will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with visitation two hours prior. Interment will take place at North Brinton Cemetery in Lake.

The family will greet friends on Tuesday, Sept. 4th from 5 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
