Earlana "Lana" McGill, age 77 of Rodney, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008. She was born December 27, 1930 in Betsy Layne, Kentucky to Ferrell and Dovie Williamson. Lana moved to Detroit to find employment as a young woman. She worked several jobs before owning and operating Kelly's Kaboose. Following her retirement in 1988, Lana moved to Rodney to make her home. She is survived by her loving family of Three children; Robin (Fred) Justin of Farmington Hills Harry "Gordie" (Maria) Kelly of West Bloomfield Pamela Marsh of Amherst, OH Eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren A sister Madonna Walden of Pikeville, KY and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lana was preceded in death by her husband Bob McGill on December 13, 2005, a daughter; Lana Jean Lindenbaum and a grandson; Danny Daughtry. Funeral services will take place 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17th at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with the Reverend John Dawson officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until services at 4:00 p.m.
