Duane W. Kutchinski, age 76 of Grant Center, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023. He was born in Reed City on March 22, 1947, the son of Duane W. Kutchinski Sr. and Mary (Herring) Spaugh. Duane married Wilma VanAlstine on December 14, 1974, at Grant Center United Methodist Church. He was employed by Kibbeys Radiator Shop and later Sub-Surface Construction Company. Duane loved his dogs and his flower garden. He had many talents, including knitting and baking cookies; he enjoyed passing the final products along to his family and friends. Duane liked to tinker in his garage and teach others his knowledge of fixing radiators. He was a great fisherman and hunter who enjoyed the outdoors. He will be missed by his family and friends. Duane is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Wilma Kutchinski; three siblings, Dick (Teri) Spaugh, Robert Spaugh, and Cindy Spaugh; sister-in-law, Barbara Spaugh; special friend, Patricia Glazier; and he was blessed with many nieces and nephews that he loved so much. He was preceded in death by his father Duane Kutchinski Sr., mother Mary (Richard) Spaugh, and brother Eric Spaugh. A Memorial Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Grant Center United Methodist Church. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at Grant Center Cemetery.
